Video Imaging Software

Patient archive
- VideoCap^® software allows the operator to capture clinical, dermoscopic, capillaroscopic and histological images and associate them to the patient database. It is possible to create a personal data set of the patient and make complete record cards specific for the type of examination.
Anamnestic and clinical data management
- The VideoCap^® sotware allows the operator to add optional information about the patient’s clinical history and familiar anamnesis. This section is fully customizable by the operator.
Check ups management
- The "check up management" function is thought to respond to the user’s personal requirements. Check ups can be ordered by date and implemented with images and information about the anatomical localization of the lesion (clinical-anatomical mapping). All stored images are visualized as previews. Depending on the methodology adopted by the operator during the check up, the anatomical localization of each stored image is visualized.

Clinical Mapping of Images (macro)
- The software allows the physician to map all clinical images on the specific body area under investigation. In order to perform this type of mapping an optional macro video camera is required (VideoCap^® CCD400).
Anatomical Mapping of Images
- It is possible to map the lesions upon selection, on an anatomical reference model or on a specific body area (I° finger, II° finger, III° finger right hand nailfold, ecc.).
Image Mapping Management
- Depending on the operator’s preference, it is possible to store images with two distint archive criteria: anatomical or clinical mapping.
Clinical Data Management
- This feature allows the physician to associate specific information to the image such as: clinical diagnosis, capillaroscopic diagnosis, magnification, exam modality, ecc.

- It is possible to perform an objective clinical evaluation for each examination.
Capillaroscopic Pattern Management
- It is possible to associate the capillaroscopic pattern analysis file-card to each clinical image. The software is equipped with different pattern analysis methodologies among those the physician can choose from. The user can further customize the software by adding personal pattern analysis file cards.

Follow Up Feature
- The software allows the operator to perform a follow up evaluation by simultaneously viewing previously acquired images and live images. This feature is of extreme usefulness when one’s interested in monitoring the evolution of the pathological condition.
Four Image Display
- It is also possible to simultaneously view up to four images of each lesion under investigation. This feature is of extreme usefulness when different magnifications have been taken of the capillary network (10x, 20x, 50x).
Two Image Display
- It is possible to simultaneously examine clinical and dermoscopic images toghether with all the clinical and microcirculatory data previously acquired.
Image Processing Feature
- VideoCap^® is equipped with a image processing software and several calculation functions of image parameters.
Digital Filters
- Numerous digital filters are included with the software (grey level segmentation, watershed filter, 2D and 3D transformation).
Measuring Feature
- The software allows the physician to perform different measuring calculations on stored images (lenght, diameter, area).

Search Feature and Result Display
- Search results are immediately displayed along with images and information about the specific check up.
Search Feature
- The search feature of the software allows the retrieval of information in the whole archive using key words. It is possible to group all these in cathegories (gender, diagnosis, mapping, histological diagnosis, clinical and dermoscopic patterns).
Measuring Feature. Grids
- It is possible to apply grids on images for a more in-depth study of the capillaroscopic pattern. This is of extreme usefulness when measuring capillare density.
Report Printing
- The operator can easily select which data fill in the report print. It is possible to print different types of reports with up to 1, 2, 3 or 4 images of the same lesion or a follow up report of a single lesion. Report modality is fully customizable upon the operator’s need.
