A.D.A.M. Automatic Data Analysis for the early detection of Melanoma

Recently DS Medica, in association with European partners as Istituto Oncologico Romagnolo, Consorzio interuniversitario del Nord Est per il calcolo Automatico (CINECA) and Dipartimento di Matematica della Visione (Università di Bologna - ARCES), has recently launched ADAM®, a systematic approach methodology for the classification of pigmented skin lesion.

Ds Medica technical staff integrated this new methodological approach with its VideoCap® dermoscopic digital system, creating a powerful and innovative diagnostical instrument with applications in the oncologic dermatological field.

The new ADAM® technology represents a complete diagnostic and prognostic instrument that automatically provides a risk index for malignant transformation of each lesion.

ADAM® software is readily installable on each VideoCap® version, in order to provide all Ds Medica’s clients with this revolutionary diagnostic technology.

ADAM® software is and integrated module of the dermoscopic software VideoCap®.

ADAM® is a tutorial instrument that provides physicians the ability to objectively assess the risk index associated with melanocytic lesions and helps in the screening process.
ADAM® uses an innovative mathematical analythical algorithm that determines the shape, texture and color distribution of the lesion through a  segmentation operation and a successive function that allows to analyze the edge, barycentre, symmetry, indentation and color and ultimately classifies the risk index of the lesion.

The ADAM® software package comprises:

- software installation CD rom
- user handbook
- training course
